Literature Text

Memories are not the same as they used to be.
Old proceedings are replaced by new

Happenings

But yet there's a candlelight fuzz
Bordering
All
The
Above

Edges – vague
Faces—unclear
Just shapes and motions—a blur

Perhaps that's what a restart is

What people need is

A new beginning
Turning over another
Flake of shale
To find another
Flake of shale

Perhaps if we turn over enough flakes of shale
We'll find a bit of green moss
Or
An insect that at first repulses you
But is endlessly fascinating
Until it skitters away

Perhaps, instead of turning over pieces of stone
We look up towards the sky
An almost limitless expanse of blue
And the beginnings of a storm
On the horizon
And we'll wait it out
Or find some shelter
Or move
To
Another
Pile of shale
And flip some more flakes over

Still
There's a purpose
But I don't know what it is
I forgot
It is forgotten
And definitely I shall be too

In a world illuminated
By
Candlelight fuzz
A reflection of myself

Pretty! For some reason parts of this bring to mind a very old, sepia-toned photograph that's so fuzzy and indistinct you can barely make out anything recognisable within it.
